PHOTOGRAPHER FEATURE | JORDAN GREEN
In line with our 'Never Settle' mantra and collection launch, we have been speaking with skilled craftspeople from a broad range of industries that are constantly honing their craft and striving for better.
Kicking things off is the awesome Jordan Green, who has photographed pretty much every name that's worth knowing! Jordan shot Cheryl Cole for Loréal Paris, created a campaign for Nike X Footasylum, and frequently works with artists from Sony Music,
He also shot a campaign for P&Co, which you can have a gander at here. Originally from Yorkshire, Jordan is now based in London but is usually on the move from one job to the next. You can check out his work at his website or on Instagram.
P&Co : Tell us a bit about your ‘craft’, & when/how you first became involved with it
JG : I first started taking photographs when I used to paint. I would go out and take photographs of the things I wanted to go back and paint just to use as reference photos. I then began to slowly fall out of love with painting, and got greater gratification through the experience of taking photographs.
P&Co : How is the idea ‘Never Settle’ applicable to you?
JG : I am literally always on the run, I tend to get bored of being in the same place after a while. I recently just got back from shooting and exploring California and I have been non-stop since I got back to the UK.
P&Co : Explain your favourite piece of work to us...
JG : I actually can't pick a favourite piece of work of my own, as I shoot so much my style changes so quickly and grows. I tend to hate my own work after a few months of shooting it. I’m my own worst critic!
P&Co : Film or Digital?
JG : I was all digital for a long time because I fell out of love with film. I’ve been shooting a lot more of it recently, but nothing serious.
P&Co : What is your favourite P&Co piece?
JG : My fave was the custom leather jacket the guys had in the pop-up in Birmingham, the store looked fantastic!
P&Co : What 3 things would you take to a desert island?
JG : 1) Instax with film. 2) Music. 3) Chocolate... its my downfall.
P&Co : What would you like to do more of within your field (or even outside of it) in the future?
JG : I want to shoot more around the world, and keep on exploring!..
