Following our Barbershop features, we thought we'd get to know the guys behind the scissors... This week we're catching up with Kevin Bui of Wacky Barbers in Soho!

P&Co : Tell us a bit about your 'craft' and how you first got involved with it?

KB : As a child, I always loved hair.  I used to go to the barbers every Friday with a friend at a young age.  The atmosphere as well as the haircuts was what kept me coming back every week!  Then one day I turned around to my friend and said "Why don't we start cutting each others hair?", and that is from where it all started, right in my kitchen.

P&Co : How do you find balancing your barber work with your modelling jobs?

KB : I am a barber, I am no model! But if I shoot comes up, I'll do it.  The Wacky Barber has become one of the busiest shops in Soho, so it is hard to find the time to shoot.  I barely have time for myself but I am not complaining - I love the shop and the awesome barber family we have created!

P&Co : How is the ethos ‘Never Settle’ applicable to you?

KB : To always keep trying my hardest and never settle for anything other than the very best in everything I do.

P&Co : What is your favourite P&Co piece?

KB : I love the P&Co KS2 denims, they remind me of the Japanese denim I used to wear back in the day!

P&Co : Which 3 things would you take to a desert island?

KB : 1) My cigarettes 2) Zippo lighter 3) My favourite hat!

P&Co : What would you like to do more of within your field (or even outside of it) in the future?

KB : Me and my best mate / partner in crime, Daniel Webb, are going to open our own barber shop!  Not just now, but we will when the time is right.. I am not asking for a lot, just to have a few cool barber shops and to be happy.

P&Co : Any cool plans coming up for the rest of 2016?

KB : I just came back from Asia and Germany, and now I am going to do fuck all and just enjoy London!  I'm also going to for a quick trip to Sweden to hang out with my girlfriend's family.
