This week saw the launch of newly renovated Henrietta Street Gym in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.  The building, named Derwent Works, was built in the 1800's and used by pressings company Taylor & Challen until it was ravaged by a fire.  Birmingham-based Javelin Block renovated what was left of the building, and extended it to add four loft-style apartments.  They also found the original lift carriage in the demolished shaft, and rescued it to create the entryway into the main gym room.  The lift also inspired the colour scheme for the gym, a mixture of bottle green, ivory and black.

The white collar gym is now open and available to join, offering strength & conditioning plans, nutrition programmes, and weightlifting alongside their elite boxing classes.  We swung by to get some shots and take a look around!
