A DAY WITH TINY DAGGERS

Since we first came across them, we've been pretty obsessed with the Tiny Daggers!  If you're not familiar, get acquainted quick -  you can check Tiny Daggers out on Instagram here or at their website.  They also have individual Instagram accounts - Catie, Liz, + Brooke.  Long story short, they're a badass trio of ladies that love all things Caffeine + Gasoline.  We hung out for the day to show them our new 'Liars X Cry Babies' collection and get to know them!

P&Co : Tell us a little bit about how Tiny Daggers came about?
TD : The Tiny Daggers originally started as a fun way to motivate ourselves to ride every day, or at least as often as possible.. even if just for coffee or to run some errands. We didn't plan on having a 'group' or an Instagram account for it, but we continually got really great responses from people so decided to try and grow the idea, and hopefully get other people excited about riding as well as the community that surrounds it.

P&Co : Is it right that you're Baristas by day, and Tiny Daggers by night?
Catie TD That was the case about 6 months ago, however we have evolved a bit, and currently are a mixed bag of professions!  I'm still a barista at heart but I've taken on school full time and only make coffee at home for now.  I'm studying Full Stack Web Development, so hopefully that will be my new career by 2017.  Liz is a Surgical Laser Tech.  Brooke is a teacher, and also works for a construction company in the city.

P&Co : What are the characters in the group / group dynamics like?
Catie TD : I am considered the "Tiniest Dagger" and also known quite well as the 'grandma' of the group haha.  Brooke is the 'Momma Dagger' - she makes sure we are on time, that there isn't stuff in our teeth and our shirts are tucked in etc, so to speak. She keeps us on top of things!  Liz is the 'Happiest Dagger'.  She's the one that is always positive, makes you smile, and tells you how good your butt looks.

P&Co : Talk us through your collection of machines!
Catie TD : I've got a 2006 Triumph Bonneville T-100 and a 1976 Yamaha DT 125 project bike!  Liz has a 2013 Triumph Bonneville T-100, a 1983 Yamaha XS 650 Hardtail Chopper and a 1969 vintage Suzuki TC 120 project bike.  Brooke has a 2008 Harley Sportster 883 Low that she will be selling soon to build a more vintage Honda CB 350.

P&Co : Great taste!  What would you say is your favourite experience so far with The Tiny Daggers?
Catie TD : That is a really hard question to answer quickly..  I can't really name one specific experience but I can say that all of the life-long friends I've made in less than a year of Tiny Dagger shenanigans is what I will always treasure most.
Liz TD : For me it would probably be the photoshoot that we did with one of my favourite photographers Adam Bove, for Red Wing.  It was at a small airport where we raced our motorcycles up and down the runway right next to a plane doing touch & go's.  I have always had a huge love for all things aviation, and it was really cool to be able to bring our love of motorcycles to a place like that.
Brooke TD : The moto ride from Denver to Moab is top for me so far.  We camped out and saw friends that we've made from all over the world.  We rode every single day - It was a great experience to have together.

P&Co : What do you hope to do with Tiny Daggers (or outside of it) in the future?
TD : We would love to keep growing Tiny Daggers in a way that continues to get other people excited about the community of motorcycling.  We have a lot to learn about it ourselves, the list of things we want to know and people we want to meet is never-ending.  Overall, if we could just keep going on adventures and meeting the people that inspire us to do so, we will be happy!

P&Co : Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
Catie TD :  I'm a huge nerd, I love coding and making apps / websites.  I also used to be a competitive snowboarder but had to let that go after a grip of knee surgeries; so this winter will be filled with me trying to get back on that band-wagon.  Those are pretty much my two passions/hobbies I don't share as readily as motorcycling and coffee.
Liz TD : A lot of people don't know this about me, but I have worked in surgery for almost 8 years now.  First as a surgical tech in New York City, and now as a Surgical Laser Tech.  I am absolutely fascinated with surgery and love being in operating rooms.
Brooke TD : I love doing pop-up shops around the city selling leatherwork that I've made.  Also going to live music events in town!

P&Co : What is your favourite P&Co product?
Catie TD : I have two!  I absolutely love the 'Liars x Cry Babies' iPhone case, and my 'Liars Motos' shirt that I cut into a front-tie for a more girly fit.
Liz TD : The 'Thrills N Spills' cropped tee, for sure!!
Brooke TD : I love the Gasoline Bomber Jacket, and of course all the coffee mugs!

P&Co : Which 3 things would you take to a desert island?...
Catie TD : The book "Desert Solitaire" by Edward Abbey.. A Burt's Bees chapstick.. and a knife!
Liz TD : My boyfriend, a tool roll, and my camera!
Brooke TD : My buck knife, flint stones and a rope!
