Summer Collection

Inspired BY Craft

Every collection starts somewhere. Sometimes it's a place, or a person. For the P&Co Sailing Club, it was the craft and character of those who spent their lives on the water.

Long before technical fabrics and performance gear, life at sea demanded clothing that could stand up to the elements. Every repair extended the life of a garment. It's this mindset of making things well, and making them last, that shaped the collection.

Built Like a Sail

One of the defining details throughout the collection is our use of layered appliqué. It's a technique rooted in traditional sailmaking.

Historically, sails weren't woven as one large piece. Early looms could only produce narrow widths of heavy flax, linen and wool, meaning sailmakers stitched multiple panels together to create the finished sail. Those visible seams became part of the sail's identity, telling the story of its construction

We've taken that same approach and reimagined it across the collection. Layered appliqué graphics echo the panelled construction of vintage sails, adding a sense of craftsmanship that feels true to its origins.

Every Stitch Tells a Story

Months spent at sea meant sailors became as skilled with a needle as they were with a rope.

Repairing sails was part of everyday life, but those same sewing skills found their way into something more personal. Sailors embroidered keepsakes, customised their clothing and stitched detailed scenes featuring ships, anchors and flags during long stretches offshore. What began as practicality became self-expression.

That spirit runs throughout the collection. Our embroidered details are a nod to generations of makers who turned functional craftsmanship into something personal.

Made to Work

Life on the docks demanded clothing that worked just as hard as the people wearing it.

Heavy cotton canvas became the fabric of choice for haulers, dock workers and labourers moving cargo day in, day out. Chore coats, work trousers and utility garments were built to take a beating, prioritising durability over trends.

That same philosophy sits at the heart of the collection. Rugged cotton canvas, hard-wearing fabrics and functional silhouettes are designed to be worn every day, borrowing from the uniforms of maritime workers while fitting seamlessly into modern wardrobes.

A Heritage Reimagined

The P&Co Sailing Club is about taking the details that mattered, the craftsmanship and considered construction, and interpreting them through a modern lens.

From sail-inspired appliqué and heritage embroidery to durable canvas workwear, every piece is designed with purpose. Built to last, made to be worn, and inspired by those who understood that the best gear earns its character over time.
