Spring New Arrivals

Cuban Shirts

Off-Duty

Cuban shirts have been around since the early 1900s and were originally worn by the working class as uniforms. However, it was the ‘50s when the shirts, especially the printed Aloha shirt, really took off.

Although it’s unknown where the Aloha shirt first originated, its popularity first arose with the growth of tourism in Hawaii and the demand for souvenirs. They were also popular with off-duty soldiers based at Pearl Harbor during WW2 - who favoured the shirts for their wearability in the summer heat. When both travellers and servicemen returned to the mainland they became an instant hit with actors, musicians and later the general population as a fashionable form of leisurewear.

Slow Down

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Spring/summer months should be carefree, and as the weather starts to heat up you’re going to want a piece of clothing that is both light-weight & comfortable. This is why we have brought out a new range of shirting in a breathable & considered cotton/linen blend.

Our Cuban shirts are available in men’s and women’s styles and all feature the classic Cuban collar, boxy fit & straight hem. We’ve introduced bold new colour-ways, repeat patterns and intricate embroidery- that will look good thrown on over a white tank for lazy days in the sun.
