The A2 Deck Jacket is one of those iconic pieces, born out of necessity and now celebrated for its timeless design. Originally developed for the U.S. Navy during World War II and served as a sturdy and warm outer layer for sailors facing harsh maritime conditions. With its distinctive design, featuring a button-front closure, large collar, and multiple pockets, the A2 Deck Jacket became an iconic piece of military outerwear. Over the years, its heritage style and functionality have transcended its naval origins, making it a recognisable outerwear piece.
Our version combines our enthusiasm for authentic military clothing with our love of vintage workwear pieces. It borrows elements from the original 'cold-weather uniform' such as hidden storm cuffs, webbed canvas adjusters and warm interior quilting, but with the addition of a more contemporary, rounded collar and a harbour blue colour-way; influenced by a vintage workwear piece Lee & Jordan picked up on a trip to London.
