Just Passing Through
Somewhere New. The latest stop in the 'Postcards From Somewhere' journey.
Place a Porsche Targa 911 in a diverse climate of dusty mountain roads, natural pools and desert palms, and you have, quite possibly, the perfect P&Co road trip. As part of our Spring Summer campaign, Postcards From Somewhere, our latest collection ‘Somewhere New’ sees us in an entirely new landscape: Morocco.
The pieces in this collection are a tribute to the tones and textures of the open road and the Moroccan backdrops it carves through, whilst also nodding to the moto and workwear heritage that have inspired us in so many previous collections and makes up part of the brands DNA. Think tried and tested P&Co silhouettes, heavy slubs and well-made essentials that are perfect for those first signs of summer.
The location of Taghazout was originally recommended to us by one of our own team members, Carmen, who spends a lot of her time frequenting surf cities across Europe. However, we ended up venturing outwards and into the Atlas Mountains, after spending the first day scouting for the perfect place to shoot. We stopped off for a traditional Moroccan tea in a local cafe, looking out over the mountains, and we just knew that we had to head over there to get the shots we were dreaming of.
The second day saw the arrival of the Porsche Targa 911 and we headed out on the dusty mountain roads towards Paradise Valley, winding our way through the landscape and stumbling a little bit off-track in order to take the road less travelled. It was great to catch up with Max, a good friend of the brand, and have him join us on this trip of a lifetime. As a brand, we’ve always been keen to get out there and explore the world, so the opportunity to shoot in such a beautiful location was something we just couldn’t pass up. After day two, Creative Director, Lee, received the following text from Max “Mate, just wanted to say thank you for today. I had to keep pinching myself” which was awesome to hear.
For this collection, we really wanted to focus on nice earthy tones and textures that are reflected in the landscapes around us. We’re adding a new colour-way to our Mechanic Jacket range - desert sand, which is enzyme washed and has contrast panels. Made with a heavy canvas, this piece is very much inspired by classic workwear and for that reason, is super durable and hard-wearing. Perfect for travelling those dusty desert tracks. We’ve also re-introduced a slub fabric for the first time in a while, for our new workwear t-shirts. This type of fabric looks a lot more natural, textured and is super breathable and durable, so perfect for those warmer summer days. It has been a goal of ours to transition into using only organic cotton for our t-shirts for a while now, so you’ll see this with our graphic tees in this collection (and in future collections, too!).
We’re really proud of this collection and we can’t wait to share the campaign with you.
