LAST WEEKEND WAS THE FIRST (WE’RE SURE OF MANY) ASSEMBLY CHOPPER SHOW HELD AT HOUSE OF VANS, LONDON. CURATED BY THE ‘GEAR-HEADED’ PEOPLE BEHIND DICE MAGAZINE AND ROCK ’N’ ROLL JEWELLERS- THE GREAT FROG; THE CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE EXHIBITION DISPLAYED AROUND 50 OF THE BEST VINTAGE CHOPPERS, RETAILERS AND ARTWORK.
SOME OF THE MOST RENOWNED LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL BIKE BUILDERS SUCH AS BRAT STYLE, 4Q’S MAX SCHAAF AND JOE KING SPEED, FLEW IN TO GRACE THE WATERLOO TUNNELS WITH THEIR EXPERTISE AND DIRTY HANDS- SHOWING HOW THE UK CHOPPER SCENE HAS GAINED STATUS IN RECENT YEARS AND SETTING THE BAR HIGH FOR FUTURE SHOWS.
AS HAPPY AS THESE GUYS WERE TO TALK ALL THINGS CHOPPER (OR SKATEBOARDING IF YOU’D RATHER), FOR THOSE WHO WERE THERE TO SIMPLY TAKE IN THE STUNNING VIEWS, PICK UP SOME FRESH GARMS OR TO JUST SIT BACK AND CELEBRATE THE BIKES VIA FILM- THERE WAS THE OPTION TO VISIT THE HOUSE OF VANS CINEMA TO CATCH A SCREENING OF EASY RIDER OR PERSONAL FAVOURITE ‘THE WILD ONE’, BROWSE THE STALLS OR EVEN GET A TATTOO. WHY NOT?!
