We’re 3 days in to 2018, but before we throw ourselves into making this one even bigger, we want to take a ride back through this last year, and take a look at some of the ‘Rad Times’ of 2017.

In a year where we got a new series of The Walking Dead, Stranger Things 2 and The Last Jedi, 2017 has easily been the most memorable year so far for P&Co. Not only have we launched 3 of our most badass collections and capsules to date, but we have overcome some of our biggest challenges, met some of the coolest people, finally made that journey over the pond, and added to our tattoo collections.

FEB 2017: A VISIT TO MARSHALL HQ

At the start of the year P&Co were lucky enough to be invited to the headquarters of music moguls Marshall Amplification. As we, ourselves are a team heavily influenced by music subculture and quality craftsmanship, it really was an honour to be given access, and to see what goes on behind the scenes of such an iconic British brand. From our visit also came an exciting collaboration with Marshall themselves, and the inspiration to design our own Stanmore speaker! Stay tuned for 2018!(@marshallamps_uk)

APRIL 2017: ROCK NIGHTS, IBIZA

Back in April we headed out to Ibiza to meet the guys behind the ‘Anti-Ibiza’ rock ’n’ roll parties Rock Nights. Having hosted legendary club nights alongside the likes of Joy Division, The Horrors and Freddy Mercury; we knew this was something we had to be a part of! Amongst the late nights, the drinking and music- we met some awesome people; including our current store model, created our own Rock Nights X P&Co collab’ tees and leather jackets, and got our name up there, as sponsors, with some of the most legendary rockstar attendees and muses!

MAY 2017: THE BIKE SHED SHOW, TOBACCO DOCKS

This day is not only memorable for the stunning weather (on a Bank Holiday, in sunny old England!) but also for the awe inspiring work and custom builds from some of the best big name and independent builders from around the globe. As if the Bike Shed itself isn’t already badass enough, the exhibition set in London’s Grade 2 listed building really set the standard for motorcycle shows worldwide. Plus the coffee was spot on.  (@thebikeshedmc)

JUNE 2017: HAND PAINTED LEATHER JACKETS FOR CARL BARAT & THE JACKALS

Early in the summer, we were contacted by bassist of UK band Carl Barat & the Jackals, asking us to hand-paint four leather jackets- one for each member of the band. As huge fans of all things rock & roll, and of ‘The Libertines’ frontman Carl Barrat, it’s safe to say we jumped onboard! To see our jackets worn across the UK and onstage in front of thousands of people, at iconic venues such as KoKo, Camden, really was something else! (@cbandthejackals)

JUNE 2017: WHEELS AND WAVES, BIARRITZ

In 2017 we finally got to visit Wheels and Waves Festival held in the coastal French town of Biarritz. The Wheels and Waves Village boasted an array of surf, skate and moto-orientated events, exhibitions and stalls. We caught up with the red-lipped Throttle Dolls, tried our hand at surfing and watched skate icon Steve Caballero (@stevecaballero) doing what he does best on the ramps. However our personal highlight had to be the Punks Peak Race- a 45 minute ride over to Jaizkibel Mountain, for an afternoon of impromptu hill climbs, mountain roads and gasoline! JULY 2017: LA

If we had to choose our most stand out trip of year, it would be a tough choice between Biarritz and this one. The decision to finally head over the pond to the US as a team, however was definitely not a decision we regret. Having the opportunity to hang out the back of a moving van, camera in hand, shooting our Summer Look-book was not something we’ll forget easily! We road alongside the legendary Venice Vintage Motorcycle club, got inked by Levi Rivoire (@levirivoire) and caught up with old friends Gil (@gilsphotography) and Seth ( @sir_ndrewsilver). Until next time sky-rats!

AUGUST/ SEPTEMBER 2017: THE RE-LAUNCH/ RIDE OR DIE COLLECTION

One of the more challenging months for P&Co, and definitely one of the most significant was August when we lost all of our stock to a devastating warehouse fire- which lead to the closure of our online store. However this post is highlighting the ‘RAD TIMES’ and whilst we took a massive hit, this was the month we proved ourselves as a brand. Instead of shying away from the problem (when do we ever?), along with the immense support from manufacturers, friends and you guys, we turned it around and re-launched our web-store in no more than a couple of weeks. But we didn’t just restock. We launched a whole new collection, and it smashed it!

SEPTEMBER 2017: THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN’S RIDE

A few months back more than 92,000 riders worldwide put on their Sunday best, perfected their moustaches and got on their bike to take part in the Distinguished gentleman’s ride to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health charities. We teamed up with the guys at @muttmotorcycles to host a DGR afterparty for the gentlemen (and women) of Birmingham- our home town! There were pop-up shops, beer, tattoos and of course bikes! And we managed to raise a load of cash for the foundation! (@gentlemansride).

NOVEMBER 2017: THE RE-BRAND

For 3 whole days and nights we cut off our connection to the world (sort of). The Website shut down, we refrained from posting on social media and we gave nothing away but a glitchy animation of a certain tiger biting a lightning bolt. The day that followed marked a huge oil change for P&Co, as we underwent a complete re-brand. We took a massive risk and went live with an entirely new website, logo system and 2 new collections. We wanted a brand that reflected our reckless attitude and our desire to provide for the wild ones.

P&CO: PROVISIONS FOR THE WILD

WELCOME TO 2018, AND THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS SUPPORT!
