At the end of last month we made the (what was supposed to be) 2 hour trip up north to Blackburn, to visit Cookson & Clegg LTD to take a glimpse behind the scenes & to get first look at our Made In England Collection samples.

We first heard of C&C about 6 years ago, as they have a reputation for working with some of the brands we personally love and look up to. Having seen the results of their craft in stores & knowing about their rich history being involved with the outfitting of the British Army, they were a factory that really appealed to us.

When we talked about producing this limited edition 2-piece in the UK, we both instantly knew we had to work with the team at Cookson & Clegg. These items were being designed to be hard-wearing, so they needed to be made well, a value of ours that is shared with this manufacturer.

The relationship is still very new, but being based in the UK means that we are able to make regular visits- meeting the factory coordinators & workers, and also to watch our first, second and final samples come together in real time- which is always a fun experience.

Having the opportunity to work closely with the factory on the fitting & detailing of the range was important to us. We are able to get as hands on as possible, whilst also ensuring quality of the products & working conditions meet our high standards.

Our Made in England 2 piece capsule collection has been designed & manufactured entirely in the UK. Consisting of a pair of Selvedge Denim Jeans made from 15oz Italian Candiani denim, and a men's A2 Deck Jacket made from 10oz Bedford cord, our extremely limited edition Made in England collection is coming very soon.
