BORN IN BRUM: A TRIBUTE TO OZZY OSBOURNE

Few names are as synonymous with Birmingham as Ozzy Osbourne. The Prince of Darkness, the godfather of heavy metal, and one of the city’s biggest icons, Ozzy didn’t just help shape a genre - he put our hometown on the global stage.

From humble beginnings in Aston to fronting one of the most influential bands of all time, Black Sabbath, Ozzy’s story is as raw and real as the city that raised him. He captured the grit, the grind, and the unapologetic spirit of working-class Birmingham, a city built on industry, rebellion, and heart.

Last month, Ozzy returned to where it all began for one final performance, a farewell that felt like a full-circle moment for Brum and its people. Surrounded by a sea of loyal fans (some of our lucky team members included), the atmosphere was electric. It was more than a concert,  it was a homecoming, a thank you, and a goodbye from a legend who never forgot where he came from.

So as we raise a glass to Ozzy, the trailblazer, the hometown hero, we do so with pride. Because in many ways, his legacy is woven into the fabric of what we do. It’s the reason we champion the outsiders, the creatives, and the rule-breakers.
