1. BROTHER MOTO, ATLANTA
If you would describe yourself as the ’moto-curious’ type, or if the combined aromas of espresso and engine oil sound appealing to you; then you’re probably going to appreciate this one. Brother Moto is a ‘community based Do It Yourself’ garage situated in Atlanta, Georgia. Yet, this isn’t your typical repairs shop. As well as providing a space for members to work on their motorcycles, Bro. Mo. is also home to one of our favourite espresso bars. Grab a cup of real of San Francisco coffee, admire an array of bike builds and their impressive wall displays, or sit back on the leather couch and flick through their massive collection of motorcycle magazines.

Adorning mugs, pins and homeware with phrases such as ‘Metal to the Bone’, ‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead’ and ‘Wish You Were Beer’; lifestyle brand Red Temple Prayer had already got our attention. And then they opened a coffee shop. Sat on an industrial park in Leeds, Temple Coffee is famed for its endless list of donut flavours and their aptly named rock & roll hot drinks list. Along with the latest ‘Pink Floyd’ hot chocolate, their talented baristas have created a completely black (jet black) latte, called ‘The Sabbath’, after British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. They also host ‘flash Tattoo days’, sell a load of Red Temple merch and dogs are welcome!
*We recommend stopping here to fuel up before riding on through the Yorkshire dales!
HAVE A GOOD TIME, ALL THE TIME.
INTELLIGENTSIA, SILVER LAKE
This one is for the serious caffeine enthusiasts. Leading the way for LA’s speciality coffee scene, the team behind Intelligentsia, Silver lake pride themselves on their “uncompromising standards” and single origin roast. Originally based in Chicago, Intelligentsia really go above and beyond to make a good cup of coffee- with their internationally known baristas brewing each cup/ pot of coffee to order. With its blue tiles and impressive decor it is known as hangout spot for LA’s ‘cool kids’, but as long as you know your coffee (or at least what you like) you have got to visit this place.
BARISTA PARLOUR, NASHVILLE
If we’re being honest this is the one place we haven’t yet made the journey to… but it is definitely top on our list of must-visit coffee joints. We’ve only heard great things and we’ve seen the Instagram shots of vintage motorcycles pitched up in the former transmission garage. Hand-crafted wooden tables circle the coffee machinery from which the leather apron-clad baristas brew an extensive number of coffee choices- just with less of the fancy stuff. These guys are purists in their craft, so expect nothing less than a good strong, quality coffee- you can forget the soy, skimmed milk or syrups!

CAFFIENED, BIRMINGHAM UK
This is the long-awaited coffee shop we’ve needed here in our hometown of Birmingham. Yeah, we’ve got our fair share but none that have made as much of an impact as this one. Sharing ownership with the founder of one the best barbers in Birmingham- Barberology, which is located just next door, Caffiened is a newly opened coffee bar serving up traditionally brewed coffees and teas which are served in locally crafted stone cups. It is this element of old fashioned craftsmanship and trade, along with the “mid-century modern” decor and bare brick walls that is seen within both businesses, and what really sets them apart from the rest.
